Frequently asked questions (and answers).

When you share with friends or family that you volunteer with the Center, the first question you will be asked is, “What does the Center do?” We want you to be equipped to answer that question from the get-go! We also want to give you an idea of what kind of volunteer opportunities you’ll be able to take part in at the Center.

Yes! If you need to report your volunteer hours for your school or program, please just let us know after you’ve attended a volunteer information session. We are happy to discuss with you how to report your hours. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate court mandated community service at this time.

If you have a group from your school or workplace who’d like to volunteer together, please reach out to us directly at [email protected]. Not every volunteer opportunity makes sense for a group of people and we want to make sure you find the right fit!

If your company matches volunteer hours with monetary donations, please let us know and we can connect you with our colleagues in Development to facilitate.

Currently, we are unable to accept any volunteers under the age of 18. We are restructuring our Volunteer Department and this policy will be updated as we develop new programs and volunteer opportunities. For more information, please contact us at [email protected].

While not unheard of, these opportunities are very rare and are generally set up through schools with whom our Health Services Department have specific partnerships.
